45th NAPHA AGM, Gala Dinner and Auction

27 November 2018

We have been hard at work in preparation of the upcoming NAPHA AGM.
Various events will be held throughout the days before and after the AGM. Amongst others, a Krieghoff Fun Shoot will take place, followed by a dinner at Joe's Beerhouse on Monday, 26 November. Join us and meet NAPHA's Partners during a casual dinner in the Boma. (NAD250.00 per person)

The AGM will be held on Tuesday, 27 November 2018 at the Safari Court Hotels and Conference Centre (Omatako II & III) with registrations starting at 06h45.
We start off with our award ceremony - nominations are invited for Most Active NAPHA Member, Conservationist of the Year, Hunting Assistant of the year and Camp Attendant of the year. Nominate your staff and/or colleagues for their hard work and dedication. Magnificent prizes are up for grabs.

In addition, the 20th edition of the HuntiNamibia will be launched!
If you have not registered for the AGM yet, please do so by completing the attendance form and returning it to the NAPHA Office.
AGM Packs will be distributed 30 days prior to the meeting date, as per the NAPHA Constitution.

Every member will receive an electronic AGM pack and hard copies can be obtained from the office. Please indicate whether your AGM copy should be forwarded to you by postal mail.
The theme for the 45th NAPHA AGM Gala Dinner and Auction is Gemstones - a tribute to all our members. The Gala will be held at the Safari Court Hotel and Conference Centre (Namib I and II). Tickets can be obtained from the NAPHA Office at N$550.00 per ticket and include a three course dinner and delectable table wine.
We look forward to seeing you there!

New Membership Cards

A huge thank you to Krieghoff for our smart new membership cards. Cards are ready for collection from the office upon receipt of proof of payment.

NAPHA Hunters Support Education

Our Hunters Support Education (HsE) Committee has been a long-time supporter of Nau-Aib School close to Okahandja.
When the Nau-Aib principle enquired on support towards the construction of a school hall, which the school was aiming to erect, the HsE members decided to assist with funding available - thanks to SCI and DSC support - and the roof of the hall could be completed.

Through the HsE initiative, funds are invested in the education of  Namibian youth.
In addition, a percentage from each NAPHA Medal sold, is also allocated to the Hunters Support Education Fund.

US Embassy - Woman Conservation Leaders Luncheon – 11 September 2018

The U.S. Government is a strong supporter of conservation in Namibia, and currently has active projects totalling more than $20 million U.S. dollars dedicated to conservation and combating wildlife crime in Namibia. One of the most unique and successful aspects of Namibia’s conservation model is that it is people oriented. With that people focus in mind, Ambassador Lisa Johnson hosted a networking event to support and encourage the work of the many outstanding women conservationists, connecting those who have been in the field for years with those who are just starting out. The event included the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the NGO conservation community, the Environmental Investment Fund, UNAM, NAPHA, as well as young professionals and aspiring conservationists.
